With Father’s Day just less than a week away it’s probably a good idea to start planning out your gift now! Below is the perfect guide to help you the most amazing gift for your dad this Father’s Day.
1. Make a budget
First things first, make a budget. While I’m sure you want to make this Father’s Day spectacular, you have to keep in mind that money isn’t always everything. As a college student, I for one know my wallet isn’t bottomless but I also know there are some really special gifts you can give without breaking the bank. One idea is to get an inexpensive double picture frame like this one from Amazon and put a poem about your dad on one side with a picture of the two of you in the other. You can either write your own poem or pull one offline. Here’s an example below!
2. Make a list of things he likes to do
If you’re finding yourself a bit stuck coming up with a gift your dad might like, try making a list of things and activities he enjoys. For example, if he’s a big golfer on the weekends, there are tons of fun golf related gifts he might enjoy. Here is a cute golf themed grilling set that would be perfect for a summer backyard BBQ. There are also easy gifts for the do-it-yourself dad like a new toolset or the traveler dad like this passport wallet that comes in 9 different colors!
3. Don’t wait until the last minute
A week may seem like a ways away, but I promise you, June 16th will sneak up on you quick! Although I do have to say, if you are a last-minute shopper, Amazon’s 2-day shipping can save your life. You may also be able to find something that fits your liking at some of the classic stores around town like Kohl’s or Macy’s that will for sure have a whole section devoted to finding the perfect Father’s Day gift.
